Circle of Six: The True Story of New York's Most Notorious Cop Killer and the Cop Who Risked Everything to Catch Him

Circle of Six is the true story of what many consider the most notorious case in NYPD history. It details Randy Jurgensen’s relentless pursuit of justice for his fallen comrade, Patrolman Phillip Cardillo.

In 1972, in the midst of an all-out assault by the Black Liberation Army on the NYPD, Cardillo was ambushed and murdered inside Harlem’s Mosque #7.  New York of this era was akin to the Wild West, a time that saw cops and criminals shoot it out on a daily basis.

With crime rampant and the city on the brink, it’s no surprise that the 1970s are now referred to as “The Bad Old Days.”

Despite mayhem on the streets and devious politics in Mayor Lindsay’s office, Detective Jurgensen refused to quit and would not be denied.  He took on the Black Liberation Army, the Nation of Islam, the NYPD brass, and City Hall…

And that was just the beginning.
